Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire volleyball suffered its second loss of the season to Lynn University Friday evening by a score of 3-0. The Penmen are now 4-2, while the Fighting Knights improve to 9-2.
Lynn defeated SNHU by set scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-23.
Emma Houlihan (Shoreham, N.Y.) led the Penmen with 10 kills along with two blocks. Nina McGouldrick (Richardson, Texas) added eight kills and nine digs, while Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) posted a game-high 19 digs defensively for SNHU. Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) recorded 33 assists in the loss.
Angie Caple led all players with 12 kills on the night for Lynn. Marissa Tandron also posted a match-best 34 assists, while Sara Aloisio added 10 kills and four blocks.
The Penmen return to action tomorrow when they travel to Merrimack College for a tri-match with games at 11:00 am against Post, and 1:00 pm against Dowling. SNHU returns home Tuesday, September 24 to host Merrimack for a 7:00 pm match.
