Box Score ALBANY, N.Y. – Freshman Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) racked up 19 kills as Southern New Hampshire University registered a 3-1 Northeast-10 women's volleyball victory over The College of Saint Rose Friday night at Nolan Gymnasium. The Penmen, who have won four of five, improve to 15-9 and 7-5 in NE-10 play, while the Golden Knights, who are ranked No. 8 in this week's NCAA East Region rankings, suffered their first home loss of the season and are now 15-7 and 7-4 in the league.
The set scores were 15-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.
Coronis finished with a .417 hitting percentage on the evening as she led the Penmen in kills for the seventh straight match. Sophomore Megan Salamun (Scottsdale, Ariz.) finished with 13 kills on .476 hitting. Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) led SNHU with 16 digs defensively, while Nina McGouldrick (Richardson, Texas) added 14. Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) handed out 43 assists and added 11 digs.
Saint Rose was led by Maryellen Devic with 17 kills on .467 hitting while also adding 10 digs. Carissa Dube totaled 13 kills and five blocks, while Katy Daniels led the Golden Knights with 36 digs. Erica Ziskin and Tori Daniels combined for 46 assists.
Southern New Hampshire continues its two-game Empire State swing when it travels to Le Moyne College Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 Northeast-10 match.
