VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Kenny Doublette
(Port-au-Prince, Haiti) scored twice as top-ranked Southern New Hampshire University remained perfect on the season with a 4-0 Northeast-10 men's soccer victory Saturday night at Larkin Field.  The Penmen, who are off to their best start since the 2010 season, improved to 5-0 and 2-0 in NE-10 play, while the Chargers fall to 1-4 and 0-2 in the league.

Southern New Hampshire extended its unbeaten streak dating back to last season to 28 games, and the Penmen have won 17 in a row at Larkin Field.  SNHU has also won 23 in a row in the Northeast-10 including conference tournament play, the third-longest streak in NCAA Division II history.

Doublette got the Penmen on the board in the 23rd minute when he took a pass from Sofiane Tergou (Bitche, France) and went in all alone on Charger keeper Marc Scelsa and shot for his third goal of the season.  The Penmen carried a 1-0 lead into intermission.

Jose Seoane (A Coruna, Spain) made it 2-0 just past the 52-minute mark when he took a pass from Keegan Campbell (Norton, Mass.) in front of the goal and fired for his sixth tally of the season.  In the 60th minute, Jonathan Lupinelli (Mont de Marsan, France) threaded a pass between two New Haven defenders to Tergou at the top of the 18, who put a ball in the upper right corner for his third goal of the season.  Doublette made it 4-0 at 71:01 when Seoane's initial shot went off the right post, but Doublette, all alone in front, tapped the ball into the empty net for his second score of the night.

Dom DiMaggio (Rome, N.Y.) made four saves over the first 77:54 in goal for Southern New Hampshire before Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) completed the shutout.  Scelsa made three saves as the Penmen outshot the Chargers 27-6.  The hosts also had all 10 of the game's corner kicks.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Wednesday afternoon when it travels to Saint Anselm College for a 4:00 Northeast-10 contest.
