Post University held on for a 3-2 women's volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire Tuesday night.
The Penmen trailed 2-1 but forced a fifth set with a 25-19 win in the fourth set before falling.
Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) and Megan Salamun (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led Southern New Hampshire with 14 and 12 kills, respectively, with Coronis hitting .323 and Salamun .308. Salamun also contributed five blocks. Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) handed out 43 assists, while Nina McGouldrick (Richardson, Texas) and Holly Adams (Hopkinton, Mass.) had 13 digs apiece. Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) added 12.
Notes:
- Freshman Adams also had eight kills, a season best.
- The Eagles hit .247 as a squad, while the Penmen hit .186
- The match was the first five-set match of the year for SNHU.
