Third-ranked Southern New Hampshire trailed early in the second half, but rallied for a 2-1 Northeast-10 men's soccer victory at Saint Rose Saturday evening.
The game-winning goal came with just over eight minutes remaining. A SNHU free kick from just outside the box was redirected by a Golden Knight defender for an own goal.
Saint Rose staked itself to a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute when Romaine Williamson intercepted a clear and fired a 15-yard shot that beat Penmen keeper Nick Zucco (Ludlow, Mass.) to his right. The lead was short-lived, as nearly four minutes later Dominic Samuel (Toronto, Ontario) headed home a free kick from Jonathan Lupinelli (Mont de Marsan, France) for his second goal of the season.
Zucco made three saves in goal for Southern New Hampshire, while Golden Knight counterpart Colan Balkwell stopped eight shots.
Notes:
- Southern New Hampshire held an 18-8 shot advantage for the game.
- Zucco saw a scoreless streak to begin his Penmen career snapped at 320:31. He had posted shutouts in his first three starts of the season.
- SNHU trailed for the first time all season.

Southern New Hampshire travels to Easton, Mass. to face Stonehill College in a 4:00 game Wednesday afternoon.
