The Southern New Hampshire volleyball team fell 3-2 to Merrimack Thursday night in non-conference action.
Three players reached double-digit kills for the Penmen, led by Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) with 17 kills and six blocks, while Megan Salamun (Scottsdale, Ariz.) notched 13 kills. Kathleen Schurman (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) also had 11 kills and 18 digs.
Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) led the Penmen with 47 assists and added in 13 digs. Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) led the Penmen with 26 digs. Nina McGouldrick (Richardson, Texas) and Holly Adams (Hopkinton, Mass.) also had 16 digs each.
Notes:
- In the third set SNHU was down 22-20. SNHU rallied back 23-22 and after nine ties, took the set on a Salamun service ace, 33-31.
- Higgins 26 digs were a season high.
- The third set was SNHU's longest of the season.
- Merrimack hit .169 as a team, while SNHU hit .161.
