Junior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 3-1 victory against the University of New Haven on Tuesday afternoon at Kayo Field.

Satrustegui opened the scoring for Southern New Hampshire just 9:35 into the match with an unassisted tally, as he stole the ball and carried it down the field and past New Haven goalkeeper Stefano Lorusso to make it 1-0.

Sophomore Romain Daniellou (Brest, France) doubled the lead late in the 30th minute when he poked home a short pass from Satrustegui following a rebound opportunity off an initial shot that was stopped by Lorusso.

The score would stay that way into the 63rd minute before Satrustegui struck again, slotting the ball past Lorusso after being played in behind the defense by a Daniellou feed.

New Haven made its way onto the board midway through the 79th minute when Pablo Perez headed a cross from Simao Sousa Branca into the back of the net, but the Chargers would only put one shot on goal the rest of the way.

Junior goalkeeper Daniel Milton (Ajax, Ontario) stopped four shots, while Lorusso made eight saves.

Notes:
- The pair of tallies marked Satrustegui's first multi-goal game with Southern New Hampshire.
- The goals for Satrustegui were his ninth and 10th of the year in his first season with the Penmen, while Daniellou's marker was his third of the season and the sixth of his career.
- Southern New Hampshire held a 17-8 advantage in shots, including 12-3 in the opening stanza, while New Haven owned a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
- SNHU is now 78-10-7 (.858) over its last 95 matches dating back to the beginning of the 2013 National Championship season.
