Mother Nature Wreaking Havoc on Weekend Schedule Plans

MANCHESTER, N.H. – In what is inevitable when you play spring sports in New England, the Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics announced a host of schedule changes Thursday due to inclement weather and snow-covered fields.

The men's lacrosse contest against Adelphi University, originally scheduled for Friday, March 17 and then moved to Saturday due to impending snow, is now back to Friday at noon at Larkin Field.

The women's lacrosse game against Pace University on Saturday, March 18 will remain on that date at noon on Larkin Field.

Baseball, which was scheduled to play four games over three days at West Chester University, will now pack those four tilts into two days with a pair of doubleheaders. The Penmen will a pair of nine-inning games Saturday, March 18 beginning at 11:30 a.m. before playing a seven-inning affair in game one, starting at noon on Sunday, March 19, with a nine-inning contest to follow. All four games have been relocated to the Maple Zone Sports Village in Aston, Pa.

Baseball has also postponed its game against Saint Anselm College, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 21 (3 p.m.) at Sullivan Field. No make-up date has been chosen.

Softball's doubleheader at the University of New Haven, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 18 (12/2 p.m.) has been postponed. No make-up date has been selected.
