A 70th-minute goal proved to be the difference Friday night as the seventh-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team was edged by in-state rival Franklin Pierce University at Sodexo Field.

- Senior goalkeeper Daniel Milton (Ajax, Ontario) stopped three of the four shots he faced.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the match in a scoreless deadlock, Noam Kolakofsky put Franklin Pierce on the board at the 69:21 mark when he collected a thru-ball from Joel Peterson and made a move on Milton before finding the back of the net.
- Each goalkeeper was only forced to make one save the rest of the way.

- Jadel Poon-Lewis made three saves for Franklin Pierce in the shutout.
- The Penmen owned a 13-7 advantage in shots, including 9-4 in the second half.
- SNHU also held an 8-3 margin in corner kicks.
