Female Athlete of the Week: Alexa Bedell - Women's Lacrosse - Sr., A
Alexa Bedell (Londonderry, N.H.) registered nine points on six goals and three assists, during a 1-1 week for the Penmen, while collecting 10 draw controls, scooping up four ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers. Bedell scored three times in a 19-11 loss to 11th-ranked Mercy on Wednesday and then posted six points on three goals and three assists, while winning seven draw controls, in a 19-5 victory over Dominican (N.Y.) on Saturday.
Male Athlete of the Week: Tom Schutz - Men's Lacrosse - Jr., A
Tom Schutz (Trumbull, Conn.) compiled a career-best six points on a career-high five goals and a helper in an 18-3 triumph over Felician on Sunday in the team's only game of the week.

- Baseball, ranked 11th in the latest NCBWA Division II Poll, went 2-2 last week, as it played a pair of weekend doubleheaders at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Mass.
- Redshirt-senior Ryan Sullivan (Hopkinton, Mass.) slashed .357/.400/.571/.971, as he went 5-for-14 with a home run, three RBI and six runs scored. Sullivan went 2-for-2 with a long ball, three RBI and three runs scored in an 11-0 triumph over Saint Michael's on Saturday and was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs in a 5-3 loss to 15th-ranked West Chester on Sunday.
- Sophomore Phoenix Hernandez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) went 5-for-12 with two RBI, a run, a walk and a pair of extra-base hits, while slashing .417/.462/.583/1.045. Hernandez' best game of the week came in a 6-4 win against Saint Michael's on Saturday, as he finished 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and a run scored.
- Junior Endy Morales (Holyoke, Mass.) shined in the 11-0 win against Saint Michael's, as he fired five shutout frames, allowing just one hit, while striking out eight and walking four. Morales held the Purple Knights to an .063 batting average.
- Junior Matthew Messier (No. Troy, Vt.) allowed one run on four hits, fanning 10 and walking a pair, over seven innings, in the 6-4 win against Saint Michael's.

- Women's lacrosse split a pair of games last week and picked up its first victory of the season.
- Senior Alexa Bedell (Londonderry, N.H.) registered nine points on six goals and three assists, while collecting 10 draw controls, scooping up four ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers. - Juniors Alexis Felt (Manchester, N.H.; six goals, one assist) and Kristin Wilder (Framingham, Mass.; four goals, three assists) each notched seven points during the week, while senior Kennedy Daziel (E. Hampstead, N.H.) scored five times and dished a helper for six points.
- Junior goalkeeper Leah Olansky (Bennington, Vt.) stopped 18 shots over 90 minutes of action, including eight of 12 in the first half against Dominican. Sophomore Alex Comeau (Haverhill, Mass.) turned aside three of four shots in the second half versus the Chargers.

Notes:
- Men's lacrosse, ranked 20th in the latest USILA Division II Poll, went 1-0 last week with an 18-3 victory against Felician on Sunday to improve to 2-0.
- Senior Devin Calkins (Bow, N.H.) and junior Tom Schutz (Trumbull, Conn.) each compiled a career-best six points. Calkins scored twice and handed out a career-high four assists, while Schutz potted a career-best five goals and dished a helper.
- Senior Corey Cairo (Shoreham, N.Y.) also had a productive day, scoring four goals, with junior Joseph Mayernik (Pearl River, N.Y.) chipping in three points on a goal and two assists.
- Senior Michael Brawley (Tewksbury, Mass.) earned the win after stopping a pair of shots in the opening 46:24 of the contest. Freshman Neal Murray (Marblehead, Mass.) turned aside all three shots he faced over the final 13:36.

COMPLETED SEASONS
Women's Soccer (15-3-5, 9-1-4 NE10)
Notes:
- Women's soccer, which was ranked as high as No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll during the season, put together a historic season, winning the sixth most number of matches in program history.
- The Penmen earned the highest Northeast-10 finish ever with the No. 2 seed and went on to capture their second NE10 crown and first since 2012.
- The team garnered the program's fourth berth into NCAA Tournament, where it notched the first NCAA postseason win in program history in the first round.
- Senior Rianna Fasanello (E. Bridgewater, Mass.) was named to the D2CCA East All-Region First Team, with classmate Trisha Luis (Lowell, Mass.) earning a spot on the Second Team. Fasanello anchored a back line that led the league in GAA (0.62) and goals allowed (15), while scoring her first career goal in a 1-0 win against Assumption on Oct. 17. Luis led the team in both goals (11) and points (27), checking in third in the league in both categories.
-Fasanello was also an NE10 major award winner, being selected as the Defensive Player of the Year, with fourth-year head coach receiving Coach of the Year honors. Fasanello was joined on the All-Conference First Team by Luis, while Senior Abigail Maker (Naples, Maine), junior Ariana Silvia (Brockton, Mass.) and sophomore Shae Roys (No. Billerica, Mass.) were all Second Team selections. Senior goalkeeper Paige Salmon (W. Hempstead, N.Y.), senior Courtney Benson (Hopkinton, N.H.) and junior Samantha Sparda (Scarborough, Maine) also were tabbed for the Third Team, while freshman Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.
Men's Soccer (11-3-3, 8-3-2 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's soccer, which was ranked as high as No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll during the season, finished fourth in the Northeast-10 standings and played to a 0-0 draw against fifth-seeded Le Moyne in the quarterfinal round of the NE10 Championship, before falling on penalty kicks.
- The team missed out on an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, bringing the nation's longest active streak to an end at nine appearances.
- Junior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) was selected to the NE10 All-Conference First Team after a 15-goal, four-assist, 34-point campaign that saw him rank second in the league in goal goals and points, as well as fourth in game-winnign tallies (4). He found the back of the net in 13 of 17 matches, including a season-high five straight from Oct. 7-21. Sophomore Louka Masset (Paris France) was also a First Team selection with six goals for 12 points, in addition to helping anchor a back line that was fourth in the league in GAA (0.95) and goals allowed (17). Masset also had a flair for the dramatic, with five of his six goals coming as either game winners or equalizers in the 70th minute or later.
- Sophomore Romain Daniellou (Brest, France) and freshman Daniel Jones (W. Hartford, Conn.) were tabbed for the Second Team, while freshman Kiko Hernandez (Madrid, Spain) earned a spot on the Third Team. Jones and Hernandez also received All-Rookie nods.
Women's Volleyball (11-12, 7-7 NE10)
Notes:
- Volleyball narrowly missed the Northeast-10 postseason, but turned its season around down the stretch, winning seven of its final 10 matches to get to .500 in the league.
- The team posted a 3-1 victory against NE10 runner-up Southern Connecticut on Oct. 28 as part of that span, while narrowly falling at eventual NE10 Champion New Haven, 3-2, on Nov. 4.
- Senior Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) earned the third NE10 All-Conference selection of her career with a Second Team honor. Coronis set a new single-season program record with 346 kills, while leading the league in kills per set (3.89) and ranking 15th in service aces per set (0.34). She wrapped up er career second all-time in kills (1,166) and matches played (104), as well as seventh in both hitting percentage (.241) and blocks (202).
Field Hockey (8-9, 4-8 NE10)
Notes:
- Field hockey began the season 5-1, including 2-0 in the Northeast-10, before hitting an eight-game slide and then wrapping up the year with three straight wins.
- Five of the losses during the eight-game skid came by just a single goal.
- Freshman Hélène Servais (Brussels, Belgium) was crowned the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Year - the first member of the program ever to earn a major award from the league - after posting 19 points on eight goals and three assists.
- Sophomore Laura van der Doorn (Beverwijk, The Netherlands) was named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team after turning in a 10-goal, four-assist, 24-point campaign.
Cross Country
Notes:
- The women's cross country team twice finished runner-up at meets this season, in addition to placing seventh at the Northeast-10 Championship and ninth out of 25 teams at the NCAA East Regional Championship.
- Sophomore Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) paced the team all year, capturing first place at both the Vermont Tech Invitational and the Bruce Kirsch Cup. Couto also finished 13th at the NE10 Championship to earn All-Conference Second Team honors, as well as 17th at the NCAA East Regional to claim United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region accolades.
- On the men's side, the team won the Bruce Kirsch Cup, was runner-up at the Vermont Tech Invite, finished third at the NE10 Championship and was fifth of 23 teams at the NCAA East Regional.
- Senior Tyler McLaren (Pepperell, Mass.) turned in a magnificent season, winning both the Vermont Tech Invitational and the Bruce Kirsch Cup, while finishing runner-up at the New England Championship, NE10 Championship and NCAA East Regional. McLaren, who garnered NE10 All-Conference First Team and USTFCCCA All-Region honors, became the second runner in program history to qualify for the NCAA National Championship, where he turned in the highest finish at the meet for a Penmen, placing 43rd out of 249 runners in a time of 32:02.8. McLaren topped the previous SNHU best by 32 spots, while finishing just three spots shy of attaining All-America status.
Women's Basketball (17-12, 12-9 NE10)

- Women's basketball posted its highest overall win total (17) and conference win total (12) since the 2011-12 season and earned its first NE10 Championship berth with the Northeast Division's No. 4 seed since that same campaign.
- The team, which won 11 of 13 from Nov. 15-Jan. 6, hosted its first postseason game ever Feb. 23 and won that NE10 first round contest against Saint Rose, 75-62, for its first NE10 Championship win since 2011. The Penmen then fell just short of its first-ever semifinal berth with a 75-64 loss at Southern Connecticut two days later.
- The Penmen posted a 73-68 win at third-ranked Bentley on Dec. 6 and then captured lightning in a bottle a second time, recording a 66-55 home win against the Falcons on Feb. 7 when they were ranked seventh, to earn the first regular-season sweep of Bentley in program history.
- Junior Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.), who scored her 1,000th career point Jan. 3 versus Pace, was named a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection after starting all 29 games and averaging 17.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 47.5 percent (182-383) from the field and 82.5 percent (132-160) from the stripe.
Men's Basketball (15-12, 11-10 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's basketball began the season 9-0, falling just one game shy of matching the program's best start since the 1989-90 campaign.
- The team would win three of its last five, including the last two games of the season, to earn a NE10 Championship berth as the Northeast Division's No. 5 seed. The Penmen suffered a heartbreaking, 76-74 loss at the buzzer against Southern Connecticut to exit in the first round for the first time since 2008.
- Legendary head coach Stan Spirou announced his retirement after the season, bringing to an end a 33-year career that saw him post 640 wins, eight conference championships, five Elite Eight berths and a pair of Final Four appearances.
- Senior Chris Walters (Stamford, Conn.) was an NE10 All-Conference First Team pick for the second straight season. He started all 27 games and averaged 23.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.6 blocks per game, while shooting 49.3 percent (198-402) from the field, 44.1 percent (52-118) from beyond the arc and 85.7 percent (191-223) from the stripe. His 191 free throws made are the most in single season in program history, while his 639 total points rank fourth and his scoring average places fifth.
- Junior Daquaise Andrews (Queens, N.Y.), who netted his 1,000th career point at Stonehill on Feb. 3, was a Third Team honoree after starting all 27 contests and recording 17.9 points per game on 47.6 percent (182-82) shooting, in addition to tallying 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per contest.
Men's Ice Hockey (12-9-3, 6-7-2 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's ice hockey won 12 games and captured the No. 4 seed to earn its first NE10 Championship berth in two seasons. The Penmen traveled across town to top-seeded Saint Anselm and dropped a 3-1 decision in the semifinals to the eventual champions.
- The team went 7-1-1 over a nine-game stretch from Nov. 17-Jan. 16 and then won four-in-a-row from Feb. 2-10.
- Senior Chris Moquin (Hooksett, N.H.) garnered Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team recognition, registering career highs in both goals (20) and points (28).
- Fellow senior Matt McLelland (Reading, Mass.) was a Second Team choice, anchoring the defensive unit and collecting a career-best 14 points on a goal and 13 helpers. Freshmen Zack Ciampa (Revere, Mass.; 1-7-8), Kyle Galloway (Sugar Hill, Ga.; 4-6-10) and Max Kent (Sandwich, Mass.; 1-11-12) were tabbed to the All-Rookie Team.
