Female Athlete of the Week: Ashley Elder - Women's Track & Field - Sr.
Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) took first in the shot put at the Spartan Invitational on Friday with a throw of 13.62 meters (44 feet, 8.25 inchest) on her final attempt. She was also third in the weight throw with a heave of 15.27m (50 feet, 1.25 inches). Elder was also the lone individual winner at Dartmouth with her fourth shot put victory in four meets this season, topping the field with a toss of 14.27m (46 feet, 10 inches). She also added an eighth-place finish in the weight throw at the prestigious meet.
Male Athlete of the Week: Daquaise Andrews - Men's Basketball - Sr., G
Daquaise Andrews (Queens, N.Y.), who was named the NE10 Player of the Week earlier Monday, produced a stellar week with 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists, while shooting 57.7 percent (15-26) from the field and 77.8 percent (14-18) at the line, as the Penmen went a perfect 2-0. Andrews tallied 18 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 3-5 FT), nine assists and five boards in Wednesday's 81-78 victory at Pace, before recording 27 points (8-14 FG, 11-13 FT), including 18 after halftime, 10 rebounds and six assists in 47 minutes of action in an 88-86 double-overtime triumph against Southern Connecticut on Saturday. Andrews - for the second time in three games - hit the game-winning shot, as he dropped in a layup and then converted the three-point play at the line with just 5.3 seconds remaining.

Notes:
- Women's basketball went 1-1 last week, including a convincing win over an NE10 Southwest Division power.
- Senior Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) posted 20.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 64.5 percent (20-31) from the field. Lorenzen scored a team-high 21 points (10-16 FG, 1-1 FT), grabbed eight rebounds and dished three assists in Wednesday's 90-79 loss at Pace, as she became the first player in program history to notch 1,500 points and 800 rebounds. Lorenzen then recorded a double-double of 20 points (10-15 FG), 15 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in a 79-59 victory over Southern Connecticut on Saturday.
- Senior Brianna Camara (Fall River, Mass.) recorded 13.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, while shooting 50 percent (8-16) from the field, including a sizzling 62.5 percent (5-8) from downtown, and 83.3 percent (5-6) from the stripe. Camara notched seven points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 2-2 FT) and six boards at Pace, before collecting 19 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3-FG, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and five helpers in the take-down of Southern Connecticut.
- Sophomore Gyanna Russell (E. Hampton, Conn.) contributed 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game, while hitting on 58.3 percent (7-12) of her shots. Russell scored 14 points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3-FG, 7-11 FT) to match her career high, in addition to corralling a pair of rebounds, in the loss at Pace, while netting 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 FT) and matching her career high with six rebounds in the triumph over Southern Connecticut.

- Junior Eamonn Joyce (Medford, Mass.) posted 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game, while shooting 51.7 percent (15-29) from the floor, including 37.5 percent (6-16) from deep, and 77.8 percent (7-9) from the line. Joyce scored a team-high 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-8 3-FG, 2-2 FT) and brought in three rebounds at Pace, giving SNHU the lead for good with a 3-pointer with under three minutes to go, and then notched his first career double-double with 21 points (7-17 FG, 2-8 3-FG, 5-7 FT) and a career-best 14 rebounds in the win against Southern Connecticut.
- Senior Jon Martin (Manchester, N.H.) scored a career-high 18 points (6-7 FG, 4-5 3-FG, 2-2 FT), as he reached double figures for the first time in his career, in the win over Pace. Martin also grabbed a career-best seven rebounds and matched his career high with three assists.
- Freshman Justyn Lacy (Catskill, N.Y.) netted a career-high 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 2-2 FT) and handed out two assists in the Southern Connecticut win.

- Men's ice hockey returned from its month-long break Saturday and posted a 4-1 win at Becker.
- Sophomore Griffin Connor (Manchester, N.H.) recorded the first two-goal game of his career, including the eventual game winner.
- Senior Joseph Berardi (Burlington, Mass.) notched a three-point night with a goal and two assists.
- Freshman Charlie Davis (Milton, Mass.) assisted on a pair of goals.
- Senior Artem Efimov-Barakov (Khimki, Russia) notched his first goal of the season.
- Junior Kurt Gutting (Weymouth, Mass.) stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced in his fifth victory of the season.

- Women's track & field came back from its month off to take part in a pair of meets, finishing eighth at he Spartan Invitational on Friday before taking fourth at the Dartmouth Relays on Sunday.

- Junior Jalisa Allen (Foxboro, Mass.) and freshman Tatyanna Beckford (Orange, N.J.) recorded personal best marks in the shot put at Dartmouth with respective marks of 11.17m (36 feet, 7.75 inches) and 10.74m (35 feet, 3 inches).
- The SNHU 4x200 relay team of sophomore Megan Decker (Durham, Conn.), freshman Kate Hall (Pawcatuck, Conn.), Murphy and freshman Zeandrea Ward (Hartford, Conn.) set a program indoor record with a time of 1:48.60 at Dartmouth.

COMPLETED SEASONS
Men's Soccer (13-4-2, 8-3-2 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's soccer won 13 matches for the second straight season, earning the No. 3 seed for the Northeast-10 Championship.
- The team hosted an NE10 quarterfinal match against Franklin Pierce and then posted a 3-0 victory - its first in the NE10 postseason since 2015. It then fell, 1-0, at Adelphi in the semifinal round.
- The Penmen were the first team out when they NCAA Selection Committee announced its field for the East Regional.
- Senior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Year after tallying 19 goals and two assists for 40 points in just 14 matches. Despite missing four contests, Satrustegui led the league in goals, tied for first in points and notched the most game-winning tallies. Nationally, the three-time NE10 Player of the Week ranked fifth in goals and eighth in points. He was joined on the All-Conference First Team by sophomore Tom Marriott (Nottingham, England) and graduate student Collyns Laokandi (Paris, France).
- Senior goalkeeper Daniel Milton (Ajax, Ontario) and sophomore Kiko Hernandez (Madrid, Spain) earned spots on the Second Team, with sophomores Nadjib Chibout (Lyon, France) and Jannik Mohr (Koblenz, Germany) garnering Third Team spots. Redshirt-sophomore Andre Pereira (Cheshire, Conn.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.
Women's Soccer (14-4-2, 10-2-2 NE10)
Notes:
- Women's soccer tallied up 14 victories, including 10 in Northeast-10 play, as it earned the No. 2 seed for the NE10 Championship for the second straight season.
- After pulling out a 2-1 overtime victory against Southern Connecticut in the quarterfinals, the Penmen were upset by sixth-seeded Assumption, 2-0, in the semifinals.
- The team earned its fifth NCAA Tournament berth with the No. 4 seed in the East Region, but fell to fifth-seeded LIU Post on penalty kicks, 4-3, following 110 minutes of scoreless soccer.
- Senior Samantha Sparda (Scarborough, Maine) was selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East All-Region Second Team after anchoring a back line that led the league with a 0.90 goals-against average and 20 goals allowed (amongst teams that played at least 17 matches).
- Sparda was also named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team and was joined by classmate Ariana Silvia (Brockton, Mass.).
- Senior Danielle Humphreys (Hebron, Conn.), graduate student Sydney Crema (Litchfield, N.H.) and freshman Sydney Carney (Northborough, Mass.) all garnered Second Team accolades, while freshmen Dorthea Glorud (Brumunddal, Norway) and Hannah Rose (Waterloo, Ontario), junior Shae Roys (No. Billerica, Mass.), and sophomore Lydia Kinsman (Granville, Mass.) each received Third Team honors.
- Carney, Glorud and Rose also garnered All-Rookie nods.
Women's Volleyball (10-13, 8-6 NE10)
Notes:
- Volleyball for the second straight season enjoyed a second-half surge, winning nine of 14 to end the regular season and nab the No. 5 seed for the Northeast-10 Championship, as it earned a postseason bert for the first time in three seasons.
- The team went on the road to fourth-seeded Southern Connecticut and suffered a 3-0 loss, dropping the first and third sets, 25-23, in a close battle.
- Junior Irem Bat (Istanbul, Turkey) captured NE10 All-Conference Third Team honors, as she recorded 251 kills (3.14 k/s) on .202 hitting, while tallying 23 service aces (0.29 sa/s), 278 digs (3.35 d/s) and 43 blocks (0.54 b/s).
Field Hockey (10-9, 8-5 NE10)
Notes:
- Field hockey set a new program record with 10 wins and finished above .500 for the first time in program history.
- The team earned its first Northeast-10 postseason berth ever as the No. 5 seed for the NE10 Championship and traveled across town to fourth-seeded Saint Anselm, where it suffered a 4-2 loss.
- Junior Laura van der Doorn (Beverwijk, The Netherlands) and redshirt-junior Cassidy Huckins (Loudon, N.H.) became the first Penmen in program history to garner NE10 All-Conference First Team honors. van der Doorn started all 19 contests and scored six goals, while dishing five assists, to rank third on the team in points. Huckins also started all 19 games and led the Penmen in goals with 13 and total points with 30.
- Senior Maddie Holt (Seabrook, N.H.) and freshman Faye Turkmen (Bergen, The Netherlands) were named to the Second and Third Team, respectively, with Turkmen also receiving an All-Rookie Team nod.
Cross Country
Notes:
- The men's cross country team turned in its most successful season to date, qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championship for the first time. After winning the Shacklette Invitational and the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Invite to open the season, the Penmen claimed fourth place at the Northeast-10 Championship and then submitted a second fourth-place showing at the NCAA Division II East Regional, which helped it earn an at-large bid to nationals, which were held at the Bob O'Connor Golf Course in Pittsburgh, Pa. The team finished 34th.
- Sophomore Cedric Jocelyn (Nyack, N.Y.) led the Penmen in four of their seven races, with classmate Micah Hewitson (New Market, Md.) doing so in two, including at the NCAA National Championship, where he ran in 36:28.8. Hewitson, freshman Ethan Matthews (Ayer, Mass.) and junior Michael Moreno (Houston, Texas) were named USTFCCCA All-Region for their performances at the East Regional, while Jocelyn was an NE10 All-Conference Second Team selection, with Matthews and Moreno both garnering Third Team nods.
- The youthful women's squad finished sixth at the Northeast-10 Championship before closing the year with a 14th-place showing at the NCAA Division II East Regional.
- Junior Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) was the top Penmen finisher in all four meets she competed in, including at NE10s when she crossed the finish line in 22:09.72, which was a personal best and the third fastest 6K in program history. Couto earned USTFCCCA All-Region and NE10 First Team honors for the second straight year.
