Freshman Jacari Sanders (San Antonio, Texas) scored 15 points and Eamonn Joyce (Medford, Mass.) notched a double-double, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team suffered a 75-56 loss to Bentley University on Tuesday evening at the Dana Center.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire trailed by eight at the break and crept to within five just over eight minutes into the second half, but Bentley scored 28 of the next 38 points to build its largest lead of the night at 75-52 with 1:47 remaining. Jordan Mello-Klein and Chris Hudson led the way during the stretch with eight and seven points, respectively, while Seth Stankiewicz added six.

- Mello-Klein led all scorers with 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-5 3-FG, 3-3 FT) for Bentley, to go with seven rebounds and six assists, while Hudson added 14 points (6-16 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 1-2 FT), nine boards, four steals, three assists and a pair of blocks.
- The Falcons outshot the Penmen, 42.4 percent (28-66) to 35.6 percent (21-59), including 43.5 percent (10-23) to 30 percent (9-30) from beyond the arc.
- Bentley was also better from the line, 75 percent (9-12) to 62.5 percent (5-8).
- The Falcons won the glass (44-35) and the paint (26-20), collected more points off turnovers (9-5) and second chance points (13-9), and featured a better assist-to-turnover ratio (11/11-12/14), while the Penmen received more scoring from their bench (25-15).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has its three-game winning streak halted.
- Despite leading the all-time series, 28-26, Bentley wins for just the second time in the last five meetings. The Falcons also snap a two-game skid at home against the Penmen, winning for the first time since Feb. 8, 2017.
- Joyce's double-double is his second of the season and seventh of his career.
- Joyce has scored in double figures in nine of 10 contests this season.

- The Penmen are back in action Saturday, Dec. 14 (1 p.m.) when they take on Goldey-Beacom College.
