Sophomore Alyssa Anderson (Londonderry, N.H.) and junior Allison Beaumont (Milton, Ontario) each scored a goal to lead the sixth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to a 2-0 shutout of Assumption University on Friday evening at Multi-Sport Stadium.

  • Southern New Hampshire set the tone just 5:20 in when Anderson found the back of the net.
  • The score stayed that way until the 57th minute when Butters set up Beaumont to make it 2-0.

  • Assumption outshot SNHU, 9-8, while the Penmen returned the favor in shots on target, 6-2.

  • Southern New Hampshire, which is ranked sixth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II National Top 25 Poll, is now unbeaten in 12 straight contests to begin the season. The 12-match unbeaten streak is the longest to begin a season for the program since 1990.
  • SNHU, which leads the all-time series with Assumption, 17-11-5, is now unbeaten in five of the last six against the Greyhounds and has won two straight. The Penmen have not allowed a goal to Assumption since Nov. 2, 2018, a span of 216:26.
  • The Penmen extend their shutout streak to 263:37, while Rose's personal scoreless stretch has now reached 248:17.
  • Anderson is now the team leader in goals (6) assists (3) and points (15), while Butters is tied with Anderson in assists and is second in points (13).
  • Beaumont has scored in back-to-back contests and three of her last five.
  • The Penmen are still outscoring their opponents, 25-6, so far this season.
  • SNHU is now 54-15-11 (.744) over its last 80 matches dating back to the 2016 campaign.
