Sophomore Kody Gagnon (Tolland, Conn.) led SNHU as the Penmen finished in 15th place Saturday at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Rochester, N.Y.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Gagnon turned in a 34:36.3 for his first 10k with SNHU, finishing 62nd overall (143 runners).
- Senior Luke Hogan (Litchfield, N.H.) clocked a 34:53 for the race, and finished 67th.
- The other three runners for the Penmen were junior Liam Walker (Attleboro, Mass.), senior Andrew Derry (Keene, N.H.) , and sophomore Carson Bottomley (Hollis, N.H.)
NOTES
- Walker wound up in 82nd place, Derry was 87th, and Bottomley came in 101st.
- The Penmen competed short-handed in the race with the team's performer senior Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) and junior JT Gulick (Norwalk, Conn.) missing the race.
- Northeast-10 teams American International University, Southern Connecticut State, and Stonehill College finished in the top three positions to earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships November 20th in Tampa, Fla.
- AIC Junior Ezra Mutai, who won the NE10 Championship race at Saint Anselm College October 24th, was first at the NCAA East Regional with a time of 29:16.2.
