Junior George Thurston (Plymouth, Mass.) had a hat trick as SNHU opened the home portion of the schedule with a 4-2 win over Framingham State University Saturday night at The Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, N.H.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Rams opened the scoring at 4:44 of the first period on a blast from the left circle by Johnny Baker. Brian Kozek and Ashton Collazo had the assists.
- SNHU would score three times before the end of the first period. Thurston's first goal at 8:18 came on a tip-in of a blast by senior Joe Fiorino (Willow Grove, Pa.). Cox had set up Fiorino for his first assist of the night with the Penmen on a power-play.
- Stewart scored at 14:27 in what proved to be the game-winner. Cox and sophomore Matt Amante (West Hempstead, N.Y.) assisted for another power-play conversion.
- Thurston scored of a pass from Stewart at 17:07 to extend the lead to 3-1.
- After a scoreless second period, Framingham State's Dylan Marty made it 3-2 with his shot from the right circle.
- The Penmen tallied a third-power play goal of the night - Thurston's third goal, at 7:14 of the third. Cox and Stewart were awarded the assists on the play.

- The Penmen had a shots on goal advantage of 33-19. Mercer made 25 saves for SNHU to pick up his second win in as many nights.
- SNHU went 3-for-6 on the power play, while Framingham State went 1-for-3. Â
