Freshman Annemartine Christis ('S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) scored a pair of goals and Senior Emily Campbell (Raynham, Mass.) tallied the game-winner as Southern New Hampshire beat Franklin Pierce 4-2 Sunday for its first win of the season.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
KEY MOMENTS
  • Christis tied the contest twice, at 1-1, and 2-2 with goals.  Her second goal came off a corner from Campbell at 2:49 of the third quarter to draw SNHU even.
  • SNHU took its first lead of the day when Campbell smacked in a rebound off a shot from freshman Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) at 8:28 of the third quarter.
  • Thibodeau provided an insurance goal for the Penmen with her first career marker at 2:19 of the fourth quarter.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Graduate student goalkeeper Kate Pigsley (E. Kingston, N.H.) kept the Ravens off the board for the final 27:51 of the contest to earn her first career win.  She made 12 saves.
  • Franklin Pierce had a slim shot advantage of 20-18 for the contest, and had 11 penalty corners to seven for the Penmen.
NOTES
  • SNHU has defeated Franklin Pierce five consecutive times, and now leads the all-time series 5-3.
  • Christis leads the team in goals (6) and points (11) and has scored goals in five consecutive games.
