Freshman Chiara Di Valerio (Terni, Italy) turned in a career-high nine kills, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team recorded a 3-0 victory against in-state rival Franklin Pierce University in NE10 action Wednesday evening at the Stan Spirou Field House. Set scores were 25-22 25-21, 25-14.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Leading 1-0 in the match with the second set tied, 20-20, Southern New Hampshire ripped off four straight points as part of a set-clinching 5-1 run that included two kills from senior Ramona Fontaine (Chelsea, Mass.).
  • SNHU dug the visitors an early hole in the third set, as Montefameglio served 10 straight times to begin the frame, with the Penmen scoring nine-in-a-row, as part of a 12-1 rush to start the stanza. Montefameglio turned in three aces during the stretch, with Pacini adding a kill and an ace.

  • SNHU outhit Franklin Pierce in all three sets, as well as .176-.044 for the match.
  • The Ravens owned a 6-5 edge in blocks, while the Penmen held a 9-3 advantage aces.
