(Hooksett, N.H.) --- Sophomore Matt Amante (West Hempstead, N.Y.) tallied twice and assisted on two other goals, but a late rally by SNHU fell short in a 7-5 to loss Franklin Pierce at home on Saturday. It was the first conference loss for the Penmen.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen did not score in the first period for a second consecutive game. SNHU went to the locker room down 1-0 after David Cambria scored with 11 seconds to play in the period.
- SNHU would take a short-lived lead early in the second period with a pair of power-play goals. Amante tied the game at 1-1 at 2:09 of the second period.
- Thurston scored his 13th goal of the season, and tenth power-play goal, to make it 2-1 Penmen at 4:51 of the second period.
- A three-goal barage by Franklin Pierce made it 4-2 before Rodriguez' blast bounced into the net at 16:37.
- SNHU found itself two men down after penalties at the start of the third period, and the Ravens cashed in for a pair of goals to extend the lead to 6-3.
