Senior Morgan Siechen (Syracuse, N.Y.) gained the equalizer for the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team in the 62nd minute Saturday in a 1-1 tie with the University of New Haven at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS 
  • New Haven scored the game's first goal in the 32nd minute when Mackenzie Myers delivered a corner service to the top of the box, where Riley Drosopoulos collected the ball on the left side and booted a long shot that made it by Rose and into the top right corner of the net.
  • Siechen knotted things 16:22 into the second half when her free kick from outside the top of the box found the back of the net

  • Rose stopped six of the seven shots she faced.
  • New Haven 'keeper Amanda McQuillan made four saves.
  • Each team had 17 shots in the contest, with the Chargers holding a 7-5 edge in shots on target.

NOTES 
  • Southern New Hampshire records five straight ties for the first time in program history.
  • SNHU still leads the all-time series with New Haven, 14-5-5. The Penmen had won five-in-a-row against the Chargers, but remain unbeaten in the last eight meetings (5-0-3). New Haven's last win in the series came Nov. 2, 2013 in Manchester.
  • Siechen's goal is her second of the season and the second of her career.
