Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) added 19 to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team to a 62-43 triumph over Post University in non-conference action Friday night at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Post led, 15-12, after an opening quarter that saw five lead changes and a pair of ties.
- Southern New Hampshire started the second quarter on an 11-3 rush that featured eight points from Knight and gave the Penmen a 23-18 advantage with 5:06 to play. After post knocked down a 3-pointer to make it a two-point game, SNHU ripped off nine straight – with Timberlake contributing five and Knight adding four – to extend the lead to 32-21 with 2:45 on the clock. The Penmen would bring a 34-23 advantage into the locker room.
- Six straight Timberlake points triggered a 10-2 run in the third quarter that widened the gap to 48-33 with 2:29 to go, but Post would cap the stanza with six consecutive points that trimmed its deficit to nine at 48-39.
- SNHU opened the final frame with a 14-2 blitz, which included four points each from Timberlake and fellow senior Ariana Koivisto (Pomfret, Conn.), and gave the hosts their largest lead of the night at 62-41 with 2:12 remaining.

- Koivisto posted six points (1-5 FG, 4-4 FT) and five rebounds.
- Graduate student Mia Roy (Bedford, N.H.) tallied five points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3-FG), two rebounds and three assists.
- Junior Julia Colby (So. Paris, Maine) recorded four points (1-4 FG, 2-2 FT), a career-high 12 rebounds and three assists.
- Freshman Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) chipped in four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT) and four boards.
- The Penmen outscored the Eagles, 22-8, in the second quarter with just three players scoring a basket. Knight led the way with 12 points, while Timberlake netted seven points and Roy knocked down a 3.
- SNHU outshot Post, 39.1 percent (25-64) to 24.2 percent (15-62), including 15.4 percent (2-13) to 12.9 percent (4-31) from beyond the arc.
- The Eagles were better from the line, 90 percent (9-10) to 83.3 percent (10-12).
- The Penmen dominated the glass (49-34), won the paint (40-22), scored more second chance points (12-8) and on the fast break (12-2), and featured a more impressive assist-to-turnover ratio (16/11-7/10). The Eagles gathered more points off turnovers (13-6).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has won five of its last six, including four straight.
- SNHU improves to 10-1 all-time against Post, including 7-0 at home. The Penmen have won nine straight against the Eagles, dating back to Jan. 27, 2003. The only win in the series for Post came Feb. 9, 2000 with a 58-52 home victory.
- Knight notched her fourth straight double-double, and sixth of the season. During the four-game double-double streak, she is posting 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
- Knight has scored in double figures in all eight games this season.
- Timberlake, who has scored 10 or more points in seven of eight contests this year, is in the midst of a four-game, double-digit scoring streak, during which, she is netting 19.8 ppg.
- Colby's previous career high in rebounds was five at Franklin Pierce University on Feb. 17, 2022.
