(Manchester, N.H.) - SNHU improved to 20-5, winning the Northeast-10's Northeast Division, with a 75-69 win over Stonehill on Saturday at the Stan Spirou Field House.  Sophomore Jessica Knight (Hanover, Mass.) and junior Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) led five Penmen in double figures with 16 points.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
  • Knight - career-high 16 points (8-14 FG), 5 rebounds, 3 blocks 
  • Timberlake - 16 points (7-11 FG, 2 FT), 3 rebounds, 3 steals 
  • Graduate student Karlee Ziliak (Evansville, Ind.) - 15 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 4-5 FT), 3 assists, 3 steals 
  • Senior Jenna Roche (Braintree, Mass.) - 13 points (4-10 FG, 4-4 FT), 4 rebounds, 2 assists
  • Senior Danielle Sirois (Pelham, N.H.) - 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-4 FT), 7 rebounds, 2 assists
KEY MOMENTS
  • The game featured 11 lead changes, and there were five ties.
  • The Penmen held a 35-31 lead at the half after shooting 10-of-17 in the second quarter.
  • Roche hit a three-pointer off a Stonehill turnover with 6:50 to play to put SNHU in front 58-57 and they would not trail for the remainder of the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Timberlake wound up as the leading scorer for SNHU for the fourth time in five games.
  • The Penmen finished 29-for-59 (49.2 %) and they hit 17-of-19 from the free throw line.  
  • The Skyhawks had a 37-28 advantage in rebounds, including a 15-5 edge in offensive rebounds.
  • The Penmen turned the ball over just 9 times, while the Skyhawks had 14. 
  • Stonehill was paced by Kayla Raymond, who had a game-high 24 points.
NOTES
  • SNHU wins 20 games in a season for the first time since 1989-90.  The Penmen won a program record 22 games that season, advancing to the NCAA tournament. 
  • The Penmen completed a season-sweep of Stonehill for the first time in 11 years.  
  • Saturday's Senior Day game marked the final regular season game at the Field House for honorees, Sirois, Ziliak, senior Samantha Chapps (Old Saybrook, Conn.), and two players currently on the sidelines with injuries, graduate students Gyanna Russell (E. Hampton, Conn.) and Meg Knollmeyer (Hampton, N.H.).
  • The win extends SNHU's win streak to five straight games. 
WHAT'S NEXT
  • SNHU will finish the regular season on Tuesday at St. Michael's College.  
  • The Penmen will earn a top-seed in the upcoming NE10 Women's Basketball Championship.  The field will be announced at the end of the regular season.
