Jordan Brathwaite (Silver Spring, Md.) posted career highs in points and rebounds; posting a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, but the fifth-seeded Southern New Hampshire men's basketball team fall to the fourth-seeded College of Saint Rose, 80-76, in the opening round of the NE10 Championship at Nolan Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments
- The first half was back-and-forth with neither team leading by more than 6 points. The Golden Knights took their largest lead of the half at 36-30 with 3:30 left in half. The Penmen went on a 10-2 run to take a 40-38 lead with 1:13 to play, but a Tray Alexander layup at the buzzer tied it at the break.
- The second half was even closer with no team leading by more than 5 points. St. Rose led 47-42 after a jumper at 16:32. SNHU regained the lead at 50-49 and stretch the lead to 52-49, its largest lead of the half.
- The Penmen were holding onto a 66-65 lead at 8:17, before the Golden Knights went on an 8-2 run to make it 73-68 with 3:21 left.
- St. Rose would never give up that lead even though the Penmen cut the lead to one on two different occasions in the final minutes (73-72, 75-74).
- The final dagger for SNHU was a three-pointer by Adam Anderson with 59 seconds remaining that made it 78-74 and allowed St. Rose to seal the win from the charity stripe.
