th player in Southern New Hampshire women's basketball history to surpass 1,000 points as the Penmen captured a 73-68 win over NE10 rival Assumption University on Saturday afternoon at Laska Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENTS
- The first period was back-and-forth with SNHU holding a 3-point lead. The Penmen led throughout the second period, but held on to just a 38-36 edge at halftime.
- SNHU opened the third period on a 17-2 run and led by as many as 16 points at 56-40 with 3:53 left in frame. Assumption would cut it to 58-53 at the end of the third on the strength of a 13-2 run.
- The Greyhounds tied it three different times in the fourth, but would never lead as the Penmen secured the win with four free throws in the game's final minute.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Knollmeyer registered her 10th double-double of the season.
- SNHUÂ finished 25-for-59 (42.4%) for the game, while the Greyhounds were 25-49 (51.0%).
- The Penmen hit 10-of-22 three-point field goals, while Assumption was 3-for-10.Â
- Ja'Lyn Armstrong scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor for the Greyhounds.
- SNHU held an 11-2 edge in second-chance points.

- Southern New Hampshire received votes this week in both the WBCA Coaches Poll and the D2SIDA poll of media members.
- The Penmen avenged an earlier, 70-52, loss to Assumption back on Nov. 17.
- Russell becomes the first player to surpass 1,000 since all-time leading scorer Kylie Lorenzen did so in the 2019 season.
