Men's Lacrosse Falls at No. 2 Le Moyne 21-8

(Syracuse, N.Y.) – Sophomore Jack Terrones (Anaheim, Calif.) scored a team-high three goals, but the SNHU men's lacrosse team lost to No. 2 LeMoyne College 21-8 on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

  • Junior Ryan Auger (Derry, N.H.) – 1 goal, 3 assists
  • Senior Chris Valentine (Derry, N.H.) – 2 goals, 1 assist
  • Senior Tristan Pietz (Dudley, Mass.) – 2 goals
  • Graduate student Nolan Isabella (Ballston Spa, N.Y.),
  • Sophomore goalie Ronan DePaul (Elkton, Md.) 11 saves
  • Face-off specialist junior Gennaro Marra (Derry, N.H.) won 16 of 32 face-offs, recorded 10 ground balls.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Le Moyne opened up a 6-1 lead in the opening period and extended the lead to 11-2 at the half.
  • The Dolphins extended the lead to 20-2 by scoring the game's next nine goals including an 8-0 edge in the third.
  • SNHU finished the fourth quarter strong by scoring six-straight goals and seven of the game's final eight goals to close.
NOTES
  • Le Moyne outshot SNHU 33-17, with the Dolphins picking up 33 groundballs to 25 for the Penmen.
  • The Penmen and Dolphins each won 16 faceoffs.
  • Le Moyne improved to 13-1 all-time against Southern New Hampshire in men's lacrosse.

  • The Penmen return to action returns to action next Saturday at Pace (7 p.m.).  The next home game for the Penmen will be on Saturday, April 9 against American International College.  That game is slated to start at 4 p.m.
