(Hooksett, N.H.) -- The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team never lead until the final match as it rallied for a critical 4-3 win over Adelphi in the NE10 opening. Freshman
Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) won his doubles match as well as his singles match for the Penmen.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Berling won 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 at No. 1 singles
- No. 2 Freshman Thomas Guy (Fulda, Germany) won at two singles (6-2, 6-7, 6-2)
- No. 3 Senior Emmanuel Vacalares (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) won in straight sets (6-1, 7-5).
- No. 4 Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) lost in straight sets; 6-0, 6-3
- No. 5 Boris Stastny (Prague, Czech Republic) dropped a his match in three set 6-4, 2-6, 2-6.
- No. 6 Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) won a highly contested match in three sets; 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
- Adelphi won the doubles point by capturing wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
NOTES
- The Penmen captured the NE10 opener in 11-straight seasons dating back to 2009.
- SNHU has won 12-straight home openers also dating back to 2009.
- SNHU earned its third straight win over Adelphi going back to 2010.
WHAT'S NEXT
- SNHU returns to action on Wednesday, March 30 (3 p.m.) when it travels to NE10 foe St. Michael's College. The Penmen return home April 5 against Assumption. The match is slated for 3 p.m. at Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.
