(Flemington, N.J.) –   Senior Sam Henrie (Middleboro, Mass.) went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, but the 12th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University baseball team dropped the series finale against Felician University, 4-3, on Sunday at Diamond Nation in Flemington, N.J.

HIGHLIGHTS:   
  • The Penmen jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a first-inning single by Henrie. The Golden Falcons answered with a run of its own in the home half of the first.
  • SNHU pushed across single runs in the third and fifth innings to take a 3-1 lead.
  • Felician scored three runs in the seventh on three hits including a two-run double to make it 4-3.
  • Freshman Dylan Morrill pitched four scoreless innings allowing just two hits to earn the win and close out the game for the Golden Falcons.
NOTES
  • SNHU left 11 runners on base compared to 3 from Felician.
  • The Penmen earned a season high seven walks.
  • SNHU grounded into a season high two double plays.
  • The Penmen lead the all-time series with Felician 22-4.
  • Brandon White (Simsbury, Conn.) fell to 1-1 as he allowed four runs in 6.1 innings pitched.

  • SNHU will host Nyack College for a three-game series next weekend (March 11-12) at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Mass. Friday will be a doubleheader (3:30, 6 p.m.) with a single game on Saturday (9 a.m.)
