MANSFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student
Natalie Kallmunzerova (Prague, Czech Republic) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team was picked as the NE10 Player of the Week for the period ending April 12, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Kallmunzerova also won the award back on Sept. 21, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. Kallmunzerova, the NE10 Player of the Year, went 2-0 in Sunday's 6-1 loss to Queens (N.Y.). She earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles against Maja Makal and also won her No. 1 doubles match with
Magdalena Hubickova by a score of 6-4 over Makal and Gabriela Sciarrotta. The graduate student went a perfect 20-0 in singles this season.
Kallmunzerova and the Penmen, who finished the regular season 11-4, hope their body of work is good enough for an NCAA regional selection. NCAA selection show is Tuesday, May 3 at 8:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
