(Easton, Mass.) -- The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team stretched its winning streak to eight with a perfect 7-0 win over Stonehill College in NE10 action on Wednesday. The Penmen improve to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in NE10 play.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- No. 1 Freshman Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) won 6-2, 6-0.
- No. 2 Senior Emmanuel Vacalares (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) won in straight sets (7-5, 6-0) .
- No. 3 Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) won convincingly (6-2, 6-0).
- No. 4 Boris Stastny (Prague, Czech Republic) triumphed 6-1, 6-3.
- No. 5 Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) swept his match 6-2, 6-0.
- No. 6 Zachary Duboulay (Castries, St. Lucia) made his return to the lineup by posting a three-set win 0-6, 6-1, 10-4.
- The Penmen won the double points by sweeping all three matches. Berling and senior Thomas Guy (Fulda, Germany) won at No. 1 doubles 6-1. Duboulay/Nadeau won at No. 2 doubles, 6-0, while and Vacalares/Stastny won at No. 3 doubles, 6-0.
NOTES
- The Penmen have won seven-straight against Stonehill dating back to 2015.
- SNHU has won 12 of the last 13 against the Skyhawks.
- SNHU's 8-0 start marks the best start in program history; dating back to 2002.
- Berling is 8-0 in singles for the Penmen.
- Nadeau is 5-0 in NE10 singles play.
- Guy and Berling are a perfect 5-0 in NE10 doubles play.
