(Waltham, Mass.) -- The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team stretched its winning streak to nine games with a perfect 7-0 win over Bentley University in NE10 action on Saturday. The Penmen improve to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in NE10 play.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- No. 1 Freshman Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) won 6-2, 6-1.
- No. 2 Graduate student Thomas Guy (Fulda, Germany) won 6-4, 6-1.
- No. 3 Senior Emmanuel Vacalares (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) won in straight sets (6-2, 6-0).
- No. 4 Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) won convincingly 6-3, 6-1.
- No. 5 Boris Stastny (Prague, Czech Republic) triumphed with matching sets 6-3, 6-3.
- No. 6 Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) swept his match 6-3, 6-1.
- The Penmen won the double points by sweeping all three matches. Berling and senior Thomas Guy (Fulda, Germany) won at No. 1 doubles 7-5. Torres/Nadeau won at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, while and Vacalares/Stastny won at No. 3 doubles, 6-2.
NOTES
- The Penmen have won 10-straight against Bentley dating back to 2015.
- SNHU is 13-5 lifetime against the Falcons including 13 wins in the last 14 matches
- SNHU's 9-0 start marks the best start in program history; dating back to 2002.
- Berling is 9-0 in singles for the Penmen.
- Nadeau is 6-0 in NE10 singles play.
- Guy and Berling are a perfect 6-0 in NE10 doubles play.
- SNHU ranks second in the most recent NCAA East Regional rankings.

- SNHU conclude the regular season in a marquee match against Le Moyne on Friday, April 22 (1 p.m.) in Syracuse. The winner will capture the NE10 regular season crown and top seed in the NE10 tournament.
