Tristan Pietz (Dudley, Mass.) each scored six points to lead SNHU to its sixth-straight win, 12-10 at Saint Michael's College Saturday. With the win, the Penmen have secured a top-six NE10 finish, earning a trip to the post-season tournament.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Penmen took advantage of two man-up situations in the first period to score. Valentine tallied at 3:44 of the first, and Pietz with :24 left for a 4-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Pietz scored five times in a span of eight minutes, and along with an Auger goal, had an 8-2 lead halfway through the second.
- Valentine and Hounchell tacked on goals as SNHU led 10-3 at halftime.
- Auger's third goal of the game, with 3:03 left in the third, was SNHU's last score of the game making it 12-4.
- The Purple Knights closed to within 12-10 with 7:21 left, but could not get any closer.
NOTES
- The win streak is the second longest in program history. SNHU won eight consecutive games in 2016.
- SNHU took 60 shots to 35 for Saint Michael's
- The Penmen had a 51-27 advantage on ground balls.
- Auger (42 points) and Pietz (38 points) lead SNHU in scoring. Terrones has a team-leading 27 goals, and Auger is tops with 20 assists.
- Junior Gennaro Marra (Derry, N.H.) has won 200 of 294 face offs this season (.680). His 138 ground balls lead the team.
- The Penmen beat the Purple Knights for the second consecutive time. Saint Michael's leads the all-time series 27-13.

- The Penmen will conclude the regular season on Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. to play Bentley University. The Bentley game is the regular season finale and senior day for SNHU.
