Women's Golf Concludes Final Regular Season At UHartford Tournament

Casagrande was the top D2 golfer in the field

Bloomfield, Conn. -- Senior Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) fired a +11 81 in the final round of the Hartford/Wintonbury Hills event and finished 29th out of 52 golfers on Sunday at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Today Casagrande shot a +11 (81) to go along with her 80 on day one.
  • In a field loaded with division I golfers, Casagrande was the highest division II finisher in the field.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • Casagrande will wait to see if her body of work will be enough for one of six individual spots for the NCAA East Regional. Selections will be announced on April 25 for the East Regional that will take place May 2-5 at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Shoal Creek, Alabama.
  • If Casagrande does not advance, it will be the final event for the SNHU women's golf program. The decision to discontinue the sport at the end of this season was announced in August 2021.
  • The program was in existence from 2013 to present and saw five finishes in the top four in the NE10 conference. Casagrande's second place finish this fall was the highest-ever finish by a Penmen women's golfer.
