Skylar Renaud (E. Waterboro, Maine) scored a hat trick, but Southern New Hampshire lost 15-9 to #10 Le Moyne College on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale at Penmen Stadium. Despite the loss, SNHU earned a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 (note all teams qualified for last year's spot season due to CoVID and regional play). The Penmen and Dolphins will play again on Wednesday in the NE10 quarterfinals. Opening draw is 1 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen opened up a 2-0 lead over the first 5:12. SNHU defense was outstanding in the first quarter allowing just one goal and took a 2-1 lead into the break. Graziano scored to make it 3-1 in the opening minute of the second quarter, but the Dolphins heated up with six goals in the period compared to just three from the Penmen to make it 7-5 at halftime.
- In the second half, the Le Moyne defense as very stingy as they allowed just one goal in the third and three goals in the fourth including three goals late after the game was in hand. Offensively, the Dolphins scored three in the third and five goals in the fourth.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Le Moyne had a 32-26 advantage on shots. The Dolphins and Penmen each had 20 ground balls. SNHU won 15 draws compared to 12 by Le Moyne, both teams had nine saves.
NOTES
- The Penmen dropped three-straight games for the first time this season. All six of the team's losses this season were to nationally ranked opponents, including three against top-10 opponents.
- Renaud continued her string of having scored a goal in each of SNHU's 15 games this season. She also has 10 multi-goal games.
- SNHU finished the regular season in the three-way tie for sixth place and earned the sixth seed by virtue of wins over Bentley and New Haven.
- This will be the first-ever postseason meeting between SNHU and Le Moyne.
- Le Moyne is 10-0 all-time against the Penmen.
- The Penmen are 5-8 all-time in the NE10 tournament.
