SNHU Women Top-Ranked Team in Region in Pre-Season Poll

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire University cross country teams open the 2022 season on Saturday at the Shacklette Invitational at Saint Anselm College.  The SNHU women are the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division II East Region in a USTFCCCA pre-season poll, and look for a third consecutive win at the Shacklette.  Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) has won the Shacklette each of its last two runnings.    Graduate student Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) leads the men's team into the Shacklette, where he placed third last season.   The women's race is scheduled to start at 10am, followed by the men's race at 11am.

Rich Marcello starts his first season as Head Cross Country Coach.  The competitive schedule will also see the teams head to UMass-Dartmouth (September 17), the New England Championships (October 8), and a preview for the NCAA East Region Championship at Adelphi (October 21).  The year's NE10 Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Saint Michael's College (November 6).
