Junior Luca Shubitidze (Leipzig, Germany) punched home a goal just 1:20 into the contest, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team knocked off 21st-ranked Adelphi University, 2-0, Saturday evening at Motamed Field.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Shubitidze's unassisted goal set the tone just 1:20 into the match.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • In his first collegiate action, Neal started and stopped all four shots he faced for his first career shutout. All four of his saves came in the second half with SNHU protecting a two-goal lead.
  • Adelphi 'keeper Daniel De La Heras made a pair of saves.
  • The Panthers held an 18-11 advantage in shots, while shots on goal were tied, 4-4.

  • Southern New Hampshire is 3-1-0 for the first time since it started the 2018 campaign a perfect 4-0-0.
  • The all-time series between the two teams is tied, 7-7. After snapping a seven-match skid against the Panthers in the NE10 Championship quarterfinals last season, SNHU has now won two straight in the series. The Penmen also vanquish a four-game road losing streak against Adelphi, which last failed to protect its home turf against SNHU on Oct. 17, 2015 (3-2).
  • Shubitidze, who leads the team in goals (2), assists (2) and points (6), notched the fifth goal of his Penmen career.
