SNHU graduate student Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) led SNHU, and the Penmen finished seventh of 36 teams competing at the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Logan's time was 25:16.90. He finished 16th overall among the 282 participants.
- Freshman Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) finished second among SNHU runners for the second consecutive met. He ran 25:35.10, good for 24th place.
- Also scoring for the Penmen were--
- Sophomore Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) - 26:19.51 and 56th place
- Freshman Zak Laverdiere (Seekonk, Mass.) - 26:49.21 and 84th place
- Junior Kody Gagnon (Tolland, Conn.) -26:51.59 and 90th place
NOTES
- This was the 49th annual running of the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, billed as the largest on-campus cross country meet in New England.
- UMass Lowell finished in first place (65), ahead of Connecticut College (115), Franklin Pierce University (127), and Southern Connecticut State College (137)
- Franklin Pierce runner Wondu Summa won the race with a time of 23:55.23 with Assumption University's Claudio Rocha next at 24:42.28.
