SNHU graduate student Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) led SNHU in the season-opening meet on Saturday at Saint Anselm College. The Penmen claimed four of the top five spots.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Logan's time for the 8k was 27.54.5, almost identical to the race he ran last season, when he finished third.
- Freshman Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) ran third in his first race with the program - 28:25.8.
- Junior Kody Gagnon (Tolland, Conn.) finished fourth - 28:37.7.
- Next was sophomore Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) - 28:49.8.
- Also scoring for the Penmen on Saturday was freshman Zak Laverdiere (Seekonk, Mass.) - 29:08.5.
- Senior J T Gulick (Norwalk, Conn.) and freshman Jason Dibble (Methuen, Mass.) also ran in the top eleven on Saturday.
NOTES
- The SNHU men had won the Shacklette in both 2018 and 2019.
- SNHU Head Cross Country Coach Rich Marcello led the team to victory in the first race since joining the program in February.
