Freshman Emma Peeters (Wageningen, Netherlands) made seven saves, but Pace University claimed a 1-0 victory over the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team Friday evening on Larkin Field Tuesday.

  • Peeters – 7 saves
KEY MOMENTS
  • Freshman Bernardita Diaz de Vivar (Buenos Aires, Argentina) helped SNHU keep Pace off the board with a huge defensive save on a Krista Dietz shot in the seventh minute.
  • Pace snapped the scoreless deadlock with 2:47 remaining in the third quarter, striking off a penalty corner when Dietz' shot was deflected in by Sydney Sims, who originally inserted the corner.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Pace goalkeeper Alina Buerger stopped all five shots she faced.
  • The Setters outshot the Penmen, 13-9.
  • Penalty corners were even at 7-7.
NOTES
  • Five of SNHU's six contests this season have been decided by a single goal.
  • The Setters improve to 6-1 all-time against the Penmen, including a perfect 3-0 in Manchester.
