In the final non-conference road game of the season, SNHU fell 5-0 at Wesleyan University on Tuesday in Middletown, Conn.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Wesleyan's Wiggle Kerbrat – 2 goals
- Goalie Nate Romanelli made 28 saves for the Cardinals in the shutout win.
- SNHU graduate student Adam Mercer (Belchertown, Mass.) saved 22 of 23 of shots in the first two periods and made 25 saves for the game.
KEY MOMENTS
- The Cardinals held a slim 1-0 lead going to the third period but erupted for four goals over the final 20 minutes.
- Greg Peterson's goal at 11:49 of the first period was the only marker until Wesleyan scored twice within 52 seconds early in the third period.
- Kerbat made it three 3-0 at 4:57 of the final stanza, and then added a power-play goal at 11:27.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Wesleyan had a 30-28 shot advantage for the contest.
- SNHU went 0-for-4 with a man advantage – the Cardinals were 2-for-6.
- Senior George Thurston (Plymouth, Mass.) won 13 of 19 face-offs and the Penmen had a 27-26 advantage for the game.

- The Penmen have been shutout in back-to-back contests, and three times during the current five-game losing streak.
- Wesleyan has won 9 of 11 games with the Penmen all-time. This was the first meeting between the programs since February 29, 1992.
