Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) assisted on one goal, and scored the game-winner as SNHU Ice Hockey opened the season with a 2-1 win over Framingham State, in overtime, Saturday night at The Ice Den.

KEY MOMENTS
- After two scoreless periods, the visiting Rams scored at 9:44 of the final period on a goal by Brady Rossbach.
- The Penmen tied the game at 15:47 of the final period when Pomposelli potted a loose puck in front of the Framingham State cage.
- Lynch stole a pass at center ice and skated in to score the game-winner with 50 seconds left in the extra period.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Framingham State outshot the Penmen 36-32.Â
- Ram goalie Trevor Stenberg made 30 saves, including five while SNHU had a five-minute man advantage in the second period.
- Neither team connected on the power play. The Penmen were 0-for-5 and the Rams were 0-for-3.
NOTES
- The Penmen win a season-opener for the first time since 10/28/17 when they won at Fitchburg State on opening night.
- The goal for Lynch was the fifth of his career and his first game-winning goal.
- The Penmen are 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings with Framingham State, although the Rams opened last season with a 4-2 win over SNHU.
- Guerin made his debut in net for the Penmen. He stopped 14 shots in the second period.

- SNHU will be back at The Ice Den next Friday and Saturday to open the NE10 season with Saint Michael's College. Friday's game is at 7:40 p.m. and the teams will play at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday.
