Minke van de Poll (Oosterbeek, Netherlands) scored three goals in the first half and SNHU Field Hockey stunned #5 Saint Anselm College 4-1 on Wednesday night on Larkin Field for the first win in program history over the Hawks.

KEY MOMENTS
- The first Penmen goal came at 4:36 as Bates centered for van de Poll, who connected on a reverse chip.
- At 7:44, van de Poll scored again, racing through the defense after taking a feed from graduate student Audrey Canfield (North Hampton, N.H.).
- van de Poll then completed the hat trick with a tip off a penalty corner at 19:22 to put the Penmen up 3-0.
- The Hawks picked up a goal at 23:55 when Grace Michael scored in traffic.
- The Penmen had the only goal in the second half as Fischer intercepted near the midfield circle, raced into the Hawk end, and tallied with a shot into the right corner.

- SNHU had a 9-7 shot advantage with both teams recording six shots on goal.
- The Hawks had a 12-3 advantage on penalty corners.
NOTES
- The hat trick by van de Poll was the seventh since the SNHU program resumed in 2014. It was the first by a Penmen since Helene Servais scored three times in a game against Molloy on 10/14/19.
- The win was the first by the Penmen against Saint Anselm, snapping a 16-game losing streak to the Hawks including 4-1 last week at Grappone Stadium.
- The four goals by SNHU are the most in a game against Saint Anselm.
- The Penmen pick up a Queen City Cup point with the win.
- The Hawks, ranked 5th in this week's NFHCA poll, and the Penmen are both 4-2 in the Northeast-10, good for a tie for third place with Southern Connecticut.

- The Penmen return to action on Saturday night with a conference game at New Haven.
