Allison Beaumont (Milton, Ontario) scored second-half goals to lead #5 seed SNHU to a 2-0 win over #4 seed Roberts Wesleyan in the first round of the NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament Friday afternoon in Albany, N.Y.

KEY MOMENTS

- The Penmen played into a strong wind in the first half, and although they carried play, did not generate a shot in a scoreless first half.
- SNHU took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Sikkema in the 65th minute off a centering pass from the left wing by Noon.
- Beaumont scored just four minutes later, dribbling through the Roberts Wesleyan defense, and tapping the ball past Nicolette Knauf to make it 2-0.

- The Penmen had a 7-3 shot advantage for the contest.
- SNHU had an 8-2 edge on corner kicks.
NOTES
- This was the first-ever meeting between SNHU and Roberts Wesleyan in women's soccer and top-seed Saint Rose hosted the contest in Albany.
- All of the shots generated in the game came with the 25-30 mile-per-hour tailwind. The Penmen had seven shots in the second half.
- Roberts Wesleyan had outscored its opponents 20-7 coming into the tournament. Only once had they allowed more than one goal in a game – to Saint Rose.
- The Redhawks made just their second ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
- The Penmen have made six consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division II tournament, and nine overall.Â
- This was the program's second win in the tournament, and the first since a 3-0 win over Georgian Court in 2017.
