KEY MOMENTS
- New Haven held a one-point lead more than four minutes into the contest when a 13-4 run extended its advantage to 14-6 with 9:37 remaining. Southern New Hampshire would get as close as six with three minutes left, but a 6-0 spurt gave the Chargers their largest lead of the half at 26-14 with 1:41 on the clock. A layup just before the buzzer from Layman, off a nice feed from junior Noah Kamba (Lynn, Mass.), made it 26-16 at the break.
- The margin stayed between eight and 12 until New Haven went up, 46-32, with 6:31 to play in regulation. A 5-0 spurt pulled the Penmen to with nine at 46-37 with 4:24 left. SNHU had a chance to make it a two-possession game a little over 30 seconds later, but a good look at a 3 would not go down and New Haven responded with six straight to widen the gap to 16 at 53-37 with 2:26 left. The Chargers grabbed the game's largest lead at 57-39 with 41 ticks to go.

NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, which is receiving votes in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Coaches Poll, has won 16 of its last 18, but had its 10-game winning streak halted. SNHU also loses at home for just the second time in its last 11 games and has its six-game home winning streak ended.
- The Penmen fall to 22-16 (.579) all-time in the NE10 Championship, including 5-4 in the semifinal round and 1-1 against New Haven.
- SNHU still leads the all-time series with New Haven, 51-28, but the Chargers have captured five of the last seven, as well as three of the last six in Manchester. The Penmen had defeated the Chargers, 80-52, back on Jan. 10 at the Field House.
- The field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage and 3-pointers made all marked season lows for the Penmen. The 13 percent from deep is the lowest in a game for Southern New Hampshire since it shot 10.5 percent (2-19) against Assumption University on Feb. 27, 2019. The five turnovers were the second fewest in a game this season for SNHU, which turned it over just four times in the regular-season meeting with New Haven.
- Guillory, who has put together a 10-game, double-digit scoring streak (17.1 ppg), collects his third double-double of the season, including his second straight.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen will now await their NCAA Championship fate. The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Selection Show will air Sunday, March 5 (11 p.m.) on NCAA.com
