The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team took the doubles point to go up, 1-0, but would fall to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 6-1, Wednesday at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Junior Jesse Den Hartog (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and sophomore Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) doubled up Lukas Schneider and Michele Iftimie, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles.
- Sophomore Jonathan Berling (Moss, Norway) and graduate student Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory at No. 1 against Alexis Guedy and Luke Paschal.
- Nadeau was the only one to go to three sets at singles, suffering a 3-6, 6-4, 3-6 defeat to Schneider at No. 4.
