KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning when Burgos hit a line drive to right field that kept carrying until it cleared the fence for a two-out, three-run homer.
- Saint Anselm used two hits and a pair of walks to scrape across a run in the fourth, before SNHU broke it open with six in the home half. Bases-loaded walks to Vargas Segura and Rivera, as well as a balk with the bases packed, made it 6-1, before a two-out, three-run shot to right off the bat of Schwartz extended the lead to 9-1.
- After a Brady Doran solo homer in the fifth scored Saint Anselm's second run, a two-out, RBI double to right-center from Wouters in the seventh grabbed the run back and made it 10-2.
- The Penmen pushed across four more in the eighth. A Vargas Segura sacrifice fly, two bases-loaded walks to Schwartz and Caraher, and an RBI groundout from freshman Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) brought the score to 14-2.
- A five-hit ninth led to four runs for the Hawks against the Penmen bullpen.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Pisano (RBI, run, two walks) and junior Mike La Rocca (Vero Beach, Fla.; run, two walks) were both 0-for-3.
