FLUSHING, N.Y. – Sophomore Alina Kupfer (Baldham, Germany), graduate student Verena Weindl (Munich, Germany) and freshman Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team all advanced to the round of 32 in the singles bracket at the opening day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Championship on Friday at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
A couple of the doubles matches had to be stopped in progress once the clock hit 8 p.m. Those matches will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 16) morning.
