Redshirt-senior Ana Pimenta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) registered 11 kills, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team fell to Bentley University, 3-0, Saturday at the Dana Center.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Bentley led, 23-21, in the first set when Ingrid Murphy reeled off back-to-back kills to go up 1-0 in the match.
  • Southern New Hampshire scored the first four points of the second set, but trailed, 22-20, when Bentley notched three of the final four points to make it 2-0.
  • SNHU led, 10-8, in the final frame when an 8-1 burst put Bentley on top, 16-11. It was 18-15 when the Falcons scored seven of the final nine to take the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Set scores were 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.
  • Junior Deanne Wilson (Buffalo, N.Y.) collected eight digs.
  • Junior Elyeen Dias (Plymouth, Mass.) recorded seven digs.
  • Junior Chiara Di Valerio (Terni, Italy) chipped in five digs.
  • Graduate student Alessandra Peli (Brescia, Italy) posted two kills and three blocks.
  • Bentley outhit SNHU in all three sets, as well as .303-.147, overall.
  • The Falcons also held advantages in blocks (8-5) and aces (7-2).
NOTES
  • After beginning the season 5-1, Southern New Hampshire has lost four straight.
  • Bentley has won 11 of the last 14 meetings, including six of the last eight. The Falcons improve to 13-0 at home against SNHU.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 26 (7 p.m.) when they open NE10 play against Bentley at the Stan Spirou Field House.
