Junior Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) turned in the fastest time of the day for SNHU Men's Cross Country at the Boston College Battle In Beantown Friday at Franklin Park.
 

STANDOUT PERFORMERS

• Sylvester finished 101st in 26:10.2.
• Sophomore Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) ran a 26:35.0 and finished 112th.
• Freshman Eric Sekyaya (Burlington, Mass.) was next in 114th at 26:43.5.
• Senior Kody Gagnon (Tolland, Conn.) was 119th in 26:55.9.
• The final scorer for SNHU was sophomore Zak Laverdiere (Seekonk, Mass.), who ran 130th in 27:46.4.

NOTES

• The Penmen faced tough competition in the event- the other 13 teams competing were all Division I schools.
• Harvard won the race, with Northeastern finishing in second place.
• The Crimson also had the top finisher in Graham Blanks (23:26.0).

UP NEXT

• The Penmen will compete at the Bruce Kirsh race at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds on October 13th.  The race honors the long-time athletic director at Franklin Pierce University.
