Freshman Sean Guerin (Chicago, Ill.) stopped 27 shots as SNHU played to a 1-1 tie with SUNY Potsdam in a non-conference game Wednesday night at The Ice Den Arena.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS KEY MOMENTS
  • The Penmen took a 1-0 lead at 16:26 of the first period on the Muthersbaugh goal.  The shot from close range was set up Amante and Lynch.
  • The Bears tied the game at 1-1 just 1:12 into the second period on a goal by Jeremy Quesnel.
  • SNHU did have a 5-on-3 advantage for a little less than a minute late in the period, but did not convert.
  • Lynch probably had the best opportunity in the final minute of overtime, but was denied at the net by Potsdam goalie John Werber.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The Penmen had a 48-28 shot advantage for the contest.
  • SNHU won 48 of 81 faceoffs for the game (59.2%).
NOTES
  • This was the first meeting between the Penmen and Bears since the 2011-12 season.
  • SUNY Potsdam leads the all-time series 2-0-1.
  • Muthersbaugh has now scored in consecutive games.
  • Five of the six SNHU home games this season have gone into overtime.
  • Guerin's league-leading goals-against average falls to 2.51.
