Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) scored a game-high 21 points and set the program's all-time 3-point record, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team downed American International College, 69-49, Wednesday evening at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- American International scored the first four points of the game and led, 13-10, with just under two minutes to play in the opening quarter when back-to-back 3-pointers from Colby and Timberlake flipped Southern New Hampshire into the lead at 16-13 at the end of one.
- SNHU clung to a one-point lead with just over three minutes left in the first half when it closed the stanza with a 9-2 run – with five points from Timberlake – that sent it to the locker room with a 35-27 advantage.
- AIC whittled the deficit to five less than two minutes into the third quarter, but SNHU ripped off a 19-4 run – led by nine from Timberlake – to close the frame with a 54-34 lead.
- A Timberlake bucket 47 seconds into the final quarter gave the Penmen their largest lead of the contest at 56-35 and the Yellow Jackets would not get closer than 16 the rest of the way.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Freshman Abby Wager (Mansfield Mass.) posted eight points (4-6 FG) and four rebounds.
- Graduate student Macy Spinks (Luton, United Kingdom) contributed three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3-FG) and three assists.
- Junior Sydnie DeVries (Monson, Mass.) chipped in two points (1-1 FG) and three boards.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot American International, 41.9 percent (26-62) to 35.2 percent (19-54), including 33.3 percent (7-21) to 10 percent (1-10) from deep. The Penmen were also better from the stripe, 90.9 percent (10-11) to 62.5 percent (10-16).
- The Penmen captured the glass (39-35) and the paint (36-29), scored more points off turnovers (20-10), second chance points (9-3) and on the fast break (15-8), received more scoring from their bench (12-8) and featured a more impressive assist-to-turnover ratio (13/11-5/16).

- Southern New Hamphire has won five of its last six contests.
- The Penmen maintain a share of the NE10 lead (7-1) with Bentley University.
- American Int'l still leads the all-time series with Southern New Hampshire, 25-18, but SNHU has won nine of the last 10 meetings, including seven straight. The Penmen have also won five-in-a-row at home against AIC, which has not won a game at SNHU since Jan. 10, 2016 (74-48).
- Timberlake set the all-time 3-pointers made record with her second trey of the game, which came at the 5:50 mark of the third quarter, as she passed former teammate Molly Terry (2016-20), who made 188 triples.
- Knight's double-double is the 17th of her career and third of the season.
- SNHU is now 52-18 (.743) since the start of the 2021-22 season, including 24-10 (.706) at the Stan Spirou Field House.
