KEY MOMENTS
  • Southern New Hampshire led by one nearly six-and-a-half minutes into the contest, when 10 straight gave Saint Anselm its largest lead of the game at 20-11 with 10:46 remaining. The Penmen responded with 21 straight as part of a 27-3 barrage to close the half with the hosts in front, 38-23. Santos and Kamba both led the way during the 21-0 blitz with seven points each, while Becht paced the larger run with nine.
  • Saint Anselm scored the first five points of the second half to make it a 10-point game, but a 13-4 run – bookended by a pair of Becht 3-pointers – ran the SNHU advantage to 54-35 a little more than five minutes into the second half. Five points from Kamba powered a 10-2 run later on that increased the lead to 25 at 66-41 with 8:42 to go. Nine straight would get the Hawks to within 16 with six-and-a-half minutes left, but the Penmen ended the game on a 16-2 run. Six different scorers combined during the stretch, including junior Brenden Choate (Nashua, N.H.), who netted the final four to give SNHU its largest lead of the night at an even 30.

  • Following an 83-72 win at Saint Anselm back on Nov. 21, the Penmen sweep the regular-season series from the Hawks for the first time since 2014-15.
  • The 30-point margin of victory is the largest for SNHU in its 37 wins in the series, surpassing the 29 in an 84-55 victory on Dec. 14, 2003.
  • This marks the first time ever the SNHU men's and women's basketball teams swept both regular-season doubleheaders from Saint Anselm.
